#1 Who is Behind CondoPerks?

Blagica

Blagica (blah-gee-tsa) Stefanovski is the Founder of CondoPerks.com. After purchasing her condo, Blagica began researching the needs of other condo owners and realized the entire market was underserved. Condo living was meant to be more convenient than traditional home ownership, yet new and current buildings across the country were looking for revenue streams to control unexpected assessment hikes. After a brief brainstorming session in a taxicab with her best friend, Blagica decided to create CondoPerks.

Prior to launching CondoPerks, Blagica worked in some of Chicago's most established interactive companies. She started her career at Giant Step (now ARC Worldwide), where she assisted Maytag and Purina with their initial Internet strategies. Blagica graduated to the marketing side of the Internet when she joined Orbitz.com. At Orbitz, Blagica negotiated and managed multi-million dollar marketing campaigns, in addition to launching the Orbitz Affiliate Program. After a 'dot com' break in France and sailing home across the Atlantic, she returned to Chicago and managed Q Interactive's search and affiliate marketing efforts.

In the fall of 2005, Blagica formed her Internet marketing consulting company, Bsolutions. Consulting gave her the freedom to work with multiple clients including Wynn Las Vegas, ClubMom, Quicken Loans and Marriott Vacation Club International.

Blagica holds a BBA degree from Western Michigan University and continues to speak to college students in and around the Midwest. Blagica sits on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association and is a member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi.

#2 How does CondoPerks work?

CondoPerks is simple. Shop at our major retail partners through banners and text links posted on your condo's Web site. If you see a deal or discount you like, click over to that retail partner's site and shop away! A percentage of each sale will go back to your condo building. If your building is under construction, the money will be added to the current pool of assessment funds. Once the building is completed, the management company will transfer ownership control to your newly formed association. CondoPerks will deliver the funds to the condo association and the association will manage the funds.

#4 I'm a developer. Can we include our new project into the CondoPerks network?

Yes. Developers are encouraged to list their new projects in the CondoPerks network. It's a smart way to enable new condo buyers to put money away towards assessments.

#5 I don't see my favorite store listed on the site.

We do our best to add the most popular stores to CondoPerks, with new sites being added weekly. If there is a store you don't see listed, by all means, contact us and we'll do what we can.

#6 How does the money get to our building? How do we know how much we've made?

Each CondoPerks retail partner varies in the way in which they submit rebate checks to CondoPerks. The typical schedule is one and half to two months after a month's activity. For example, checks for September activity should be delivered to each condo association by early December.

CondoPerks will post a running total of your condo's earnings on the home page of your building's site once that amount reaches $100. $100 may be a small amount of money to you, but everything adds up! CondoPerks will also work closely with a representative of your building's association and keep them informed of earnings to date.

#7 What do you do with my customer information?

We respect your privacy (Privacy Policy) and will not be providing email address or contact information to anyone.

#8 Do you see our credit card information?

Nope - all transactions with the retailers take place at the retailer site. CondoPerks just brings you together with the best deals we can find!

#9 Why doesn't the rebate go directly to my own unit?

This is the most common question we receive. CondoPerks aims to create financially stable communities. You may live in an apartment or townhome, but that unit is part of your larger 'home', the building. Collectively raising money for your building does affect your own unit. If an unexpected repair is needed for your elevators, wouldn't it be nice to not have to dig into your own pockets to pay the expense completely? Your CondoPerks contributions will help offset the cost of those repairs.

#10 My building has 4 units. Can we sign up?

Yes, all building types are welcome to signup with CondoPerks including townhomes and single family homes that are a part of a neighborhood association.

#11 Who updates the Bulletins, News and Events?

Some updates will be handled by CondoPerks, but the majority of your building's news and bulletins will be updated by a member of your association or property management company.

#12 How much money can my association make?

The amount of money your association makes is dependent on how many folks shop online and what types of things they buy.

#13 What should we do with the money we earn?

The sky is the limit, but here are some ideas:

-Repaint the walls and common areas
-Replace the carpeting
-Throw a holiday party
-Save for a rainy day
-Create an attractive, stable building that future owners will want to own!

#14 Why don’t we receive CondoCash from all stores?

A few CondoPerks partners don’t offer money back for purchases, but DO provide the latest discounts and offers to their sites! Check back often for special promotions you may not find anywhere else.

#15 Can my family and friends shop from my condo's site?

Absolutely! Feel free to send your building's web site address to anyone that likes to shop online. The proceeds from those purchases will benefit you and your neighbors.

#16 What is a 'Tier'? Why do stores have them?

Many CondoPerks partners have performance incentives for the CondoCash your building will receive. Simply put, the more your building spends, the higher percentage back the building and the Association will receive.

For example, let's suppose your recent ABC Store purchase earns $5 CondoCash. That $5 is added to the CondoCash earned for ABC Store by other residents (or folks using your condo's special web address) in a given month. CondoPerks will work with the representative from your building and update them monthly on whether or not your building surpassed a performance tier.
